Kota Seriemas stands out from other similar townships because of the detailed planning that has gone into making the township a child friendly zone. When fully completed, it will be a place where parents can be certain that their children will be able to grow up in secure yet exciting surroundings. Kids' safety and facilities have been placed at the top of the agenda in the development of Kota Seriemas.

In realizing its development concept, Kota Seriemas offers its residents, eight thematic parks spread over 87 acres with the following characteristics:

Amongst all, Laman Ilmu is the largest at 16.04 acres and the first to be implemented in Kota Seriemas. This unique recreational educational park is not simply a place where children can play, but also a place of learning. The park comprises recreational, educational and child friendly elements conceptualized through the five human senses i.e. taste, touch, scent, sight and hearing, and is designed to promote a learning lifestyle culture through the elements of nature within Kota Seriemas.


Touch Zone
In the touch zone various type of materials and texture are used for both it hardscape and softscape features. These elements are implemented in the playground, boardwalk and even in the walkway enabling visitors to explore the zone by touching.


Scent Zone
The scent zone offers herbal garden, spice garden, fern garden and scented garden. These gardens will enable visitors to learn and enjoy the variety aromatic plant species such as roses in the zone.

Taste Zone
The taste zone will comprise of an orchard garden planted with variety local fruits, food kiosk and picnic area for visitors to enjoy while exploring the Laman Ilmu.


Sight Zone
In sight zone, various colourful features such as rainbow walkway, basic shape benches, as well as a playground with incorporated educational features. Other features such as sundial, mini arboretum and sculpture display will be added to this zone in the future.


Hearing Zone
Visitors will be greeted with many interesting sound from features that are incorporated in this zone. Calming whisper from the bamboo and palm garden, cooling and soothing sound of the water jet in the lake and cheerful sound of birds chirping from the pigeon hole are part of the attraction of the zone. Additional features such as sound plaza will be incorporated in the future.
