Nasional Bhd (PNB) is investing RM350mil to build the
PNB Corporate Park and Residential Centre in Nilai,
Negeri Sembilan, which will be the company's new headquarters
when its construction is completed.
The 24 ha project would be carried out in three phases,
with the last phase comprising the new HQ which was
slated for completion in 2010, PNB chairman Tan Sri
Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid said after a ground-breaking
ceremony at the project site yesterday.
He added that PNB selected the site in Nilai as it was
close to the KL International Airport.
The first phase development involves an imaging centre
that was expected to be ready next year. The imaging
centre will replace an existing warehouse that is close
to the project site in Sungai Mahang estate in Nilai.
Ahmad Sarji added that the centre would be a big memory
bank that would store various types of documents and
information of the PNB group.
Under phase two, PNB would build a cluster of residential
homes for about 800 staff.
Upon completion of the final phase - the building of
its new HQ - PNB would relocate from Kuala Lumpur to
Nilai, Ahmad Sarji said, adding that it would benefit
PNB as the current HQ could be used for commercial purposes.

rancang ibu pejabat RM350 juta

lokasi strategiknya.
"Berdasarkan faktor itulah, PNB memilih memindahkan

"Pewujudan taman ini yang akan dijadikan kompleks

ia akan menjadi pusat pertumbuhan baru," katanya.
Ahmad Sarji berkata, sebagai permulaan, beberapa jabatan
atau bahagian tertentu PNB akan dipindahkan terlebih
dahulu ke situ sebelum ia disusuli bahagian lain.
"PNB
belum menentukan masa depan ibu pejabat sedia ada. Mungkin
